Repurposing a modern classic.
Production Version
What do you do with a modern classic that’s beyond economic repair?
Rather than send my 2000 Porsche Boxster S to the scrapyard,
I gave it a new lease of life as an outdoor adventure tool.
Version 1 was completed in Mar 2023 and tested in the wild over the next two years,
culminating in Version 2 in Mar 2025.

The production version weighs 1300lb (dry) with pictured accessories.
The 2" receiver hitch can be configured with on/off-road options or different tongue lengths for optimal weight distribution.
The kitchen, fridge and cupholder-spoiler.
Front bike rack can be combined with rear to make a quad bike rack for the tow vehicle.
The Inspired Overland Carbonlite RTT weighs just 80lbs.

The custom lockable linkage raises the awning by 5 inches.
Gas struts neutralize the weight of the awning for easy lifting.
Gas struts neutralize the weight of the hatch, and also create a self-closing effect in the last few inches of travel.
The Timbren axle-less suspension is modular and can be configured for -4", 0" and +4" of lift.
