Rack solid.
Owners of older cars know - it’s hard to get a good roof rack for a naked roof. Generic solutions like Q-towers sit on your roof and/or hook above your door seals, potentially damaging paint, structure and rubber. Fortunately on this 1996 Honda Accord wagon, studs were available in the drip rails. So a low-profile custom welded tower was fabricated to attach directly to these studs, protecting the brand new wrap with the added advantage of reducing wind noise.
Yakima Q-Towers: bulky, finicky to adjust, and ruins paint/wrap.

Forward foot position uses forward and aft holes.
An anti-tamper nut on the front foot deters theft.
