A bike for him and her.
ME204, also known as Stanford Frameworks, is a bicycle design course during which you design and TIG weld your own 4130 chromoly steel bicycle frame. To encourage my wife to ride with me, I designed a cyclocross frame suitable for her that I could also reap the benefits of.

DROP BAR. FLAT BAR.
Two birds with one stone.
With the same sloped top tube frame, an experienced 5’ 8” rider (myself) uses a tall seat post and drop bars, while a recreational 5’ 5” rider (my wife) uses a short seat post and flat bars. Quick-change barrel connectors for the cables enable a swap-over in under 10 minutes.
The most important joint of all: the bottom bracket.
The lateral gusset between the seat stays, and the rear cantilever bosses.
The business end.
Brazing on cable stops at the end of the frame building process.
Ready for powdercoat.
What makes the 10-min handlebar swap possible: barrel connectors for the brake and derailleur cables.
The Ahrens Bicycles Wisecracker.
3D printed Deviant Customs badge with red vinyl overlay.
